Charlie James enjoyed riding horses, fishing, his family, and he loved fixing cars as a mechanic. He was also very good at giving everyone around him in his circle advice, whether you took his advice or not. He spent his final years mentoring young people against the woes of becoming institutionalized.
Charlie leaves to mourn, a devoted mother, Pastor Rosetta Burroughs (All Nation’s Pentecostal Church) of Kenosha, WI; his daughter, Quarnai Boykins of Thomasville, AL; his siblings, Frazier (Bernadette) Burroughs of Anniston, AL, Jennifer (Henry Minter), Tammy Burroughs of Kenosha, WI, and Tommy Burroughs of Kenosha, WI; a devoted bonus sister, Mary Harper of Anniston, AL and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Charlie James was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents on both sides; his father, Carl Burroughs; his brothers, Terry Burroughs and Carl Burroughs Jr.; his sister Amanada Scott and his stepfather, Horace Curry Sr.
The family would like to include Ms. Ruth Mae Mosley and her entire family for all the love they have given Charlie James over the years. Their home was like a second home to Charlie James growing up in Thomasville, Alabama. In addition, the family would like to extend a special thank you to everyone for their kindness and sympathy during our time of bereavement.
Scripture 2 Timothy 4:7- I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
