A lifelong resident of Kenosha, he was born on December 12, 1960 and was the son of Harold and Sula Maxcy. He attended local schools and was a graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School. Charles also received his associate degree in business from Gateway Technical College.
Charles was most recently employed with Farmers Insurance as a customer service representative. He retired in May, 2013 due to ill health. Over the years, Charles was employed as a customer service representative with various businesses.
Charles was a car fanatic. He spent many hours detailing his Ford Mustang and many other cars in his family to mint condition. Charles was ecstatic to fulfill part of his bucket list when he owned a Mercedes Benz. He loved dogs; especially his faithful canine companions, Coco and Willy.
He is survived by his mother, Sula Maxcy; his siblings, Michael Maxcy, Debra (Charles) Vite and Paul (Dawn) Maxcy; his aunt, Jean Gregory; his great aunt, Reva Henderson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Maxcy on June 3, 2010; his brother, Steven Maxcy; and his paternal and maternal grandparents.
The family would like to thank Kenosha Memorial Hospital; especially 2nd Floor Critical Care, Dr. Leonardo Montemurro, Dr. Anna Silenzi, Dr. Leena Joshi, and the valet parking attendants at Kenosha Hospital and St. Catherine’s Hospital for always going above and beyond for them.
Service Date February 10, 2015
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at 12:00 Noon at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Ave., Kenosha, WI. Entombment will follow in Sunset Ridge Mausoleum.
