Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintCatherine Grace Schroeder, age 22 of Kenosha, passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Hospice Alliance, Inc., Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie with her loving family at her side. .
Born in Kenosha on March 19, 1996, she was the daughter of Charles E. Schroeder, Jr. and Valerie L. (nee: McGruder) Schroeder. She attended and served on student council at Wheatland Elementary School and was a 2014 graduate of Westosha Central High School. Catherine was a contender for Central High’s Homecoming Queen. She was thrilled to have been voted the first runner up.
Catherine excelled in sports and was a gifted softball, basketball and volleyball player. She liked to fish and camp and had been the recipient of a trip to Minocqua by The Make a Wish Foundation. Catherine was an avid reader, saxophone player and video game enthusiast. Catherine had a special love for horses and when she was in 4-H, she showed her horse, Copper Delta Lady. She enjoyed soapbox derby racing and twice attended the Soapbox Derby Nationals in Akron, OH.
Catherine’s greatest joy was the times she spent with her extended family. She will be remembered for her smile and her attitude to make others feel happy.
She is survived by her parents, Charles and Valerie Schroeder; her sister, Cecelia (Tyler) Olsen; her brother, Magnus Charles Schroeder; her paternal grandparents, Charles “Chuck” and Mary Ann (Nee: McKenna) Schroeder; and her maternal grandparents, Wayne and Carmen (nee: Boucher) McGruder.
Catherine is further survived by her aunts and uncles, Victoria McGruder, Michelle Schroeder, Debbie (Dave) Bruzas and Carrie Schroeder; and her cousins, Alex, Matthew, Ben and Gennie.

Funeral services honoring the life of Catherine will be held on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Avenue, Kenosha, WI, 53144.
