Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintCatherine F. Rochau, age 65 of Kenosha, died on Friday, June 19, 2015 at Aurora Select Specialty Hospital, West Allis, after a long illness.
Born in Kenosha on August 23, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Estelle (Gabron) Rochau.
Cathy attended St. Anthony Elementary School and graduated in 1967 from St. Joseph High School. She graduated from Carthage College with degrees in education and sociology.
Cathy spent her career teaching elementary education at St. Therese, St. Casimir and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Schools primarily 1st and 5th grades. She also taught in the KUSD in summer school and as a substitute teacher.
She loved teaching children especially reading and arts and followed their success in the newspaper announcements.
She loved mystery novels and series such as Perry Mason. Summer was her best time of the year as she loved her container flowers and hanging baskets which she designed and made for others.
Cathy is survived by her special cousins, Thomas and David Krout; special friend, Juan Villarreal; her furry partner, Bailey and many other cousins.
Special thanks to Drs. Ziarko, Shapiro and Jendali and their staffs along with, Kathy Maresalco RN as well as numerous care givers at KVNA, Manor Care, United Health, Froedert and Select Hospitals.
Service Date June 25, 2015
Inurnment will take place on the Rochau family plot in St. George Cemetery.
