Born on January 1, 1938 in Wilno, Poland, he was the son of the late Wladyslaw and Mary (Schasny) Matoszka. He attended an all-boys school in Cambridge, England and came to the U.S. at the age of 14- first living in New Jersey, then moving to Kenosha a few years later. He received his high school diploma from Bradford High School and an Associate’s Degree in Industrial Marketing from KTI.
From 1956- 1962, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. For 43 years, he did machine repair for AMC/Chrysler.
On April 2, 1960, he was united in marriage to Marian Pawlowski at St. Casimir’s Church in Kenosha.
Casimir had a strong faith in the Lord, and he loved sharing Jesus with everyone he encountered. He was an active member of the churches he attended: St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Living Light Christian Church and Missio Dei Fellowship. He was passionate about helping at the church and helping others. He was talented at woodworking and he enjoyed doing home improvements. Overall, he shared a wealth of knowledge, was a generous man, and was always there when needed. He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Marian; his children, David (Susan) Matoska, Stephen Matoska, Debra (Anthony) Gates, Robert Matoska, Susan (Kevin) Roach, Richard (Laurie) Matoska, Casimir (Helen) Matoska, Angela (Harold) Coots, Walter Matoska, Rhonda (Jennifer) Matoska, Jennifer (Travis) Paul; his twenty six grandchildren; his sixteen great-grandchildren; his sisters-in-law, Anna Matoska, Mary Matoska, Sally Knudson, Margaret Pawlowski, Karen Vincer; his brothers-in-law, Edward (Carol) Knudson, Daniel (Judy) Knudson.
In addition to his parents, Casimir was preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Genevieve and Vernon Knudson; his father-in-law, Walter Pawlowski; his brothers, Joseph Matoska, Peter Matoska; his brothers-in-law, Peter Pawlowski, Walter Pawlowski; his daughters-in-law, Kristan Matoska, Kathleen Matoska.

SERVICE LOCATION Piasecki Funeral Home
Funeral services honoring Casimir’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at the Piasecki Funeral Home.
Interment will follow in St. Casimir Cemetery with full military honors.
A visitation for Casimir will be held on Monday, March 21, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
