Carol Jean (Hagen) Schwartz, age 87, passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Froedtert in Pleasant Prairie.
Born on October 9, 1933 in Menomonie, WI, she was the daughter of Ronald and Agnes (Ponto) Hagen. On October 10, 1951, she was united in marriage to her beloved, Melvin Schwartz in Menomonie. They relocated to Kenosha in 1956, where they raised their family.
For many years, Carol worked in Food Service for KUSD and Carthage College. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, playing Bingo and was a collector of many things.
Carol is survived by her children, Debra (Peter Sr.) Pingitore, Janice (Richard) Jones, Ronnie “Joe” (Gayle) Schwartz, Kevin Schwartz; her grandchildren, Andrea (Thomas) Squires, Peter (Heather) Pingitore, Jr., Joel (Megan) Pingitore, Rosie Schwartz, Cody Schwartz, Colin Schwartz, Mitchell Schwartz, Michael Hawley, Austin Klopstein; her great-grandchildren, Matthew, Sydney, Peter III, Ethan, Zeke, Nicholas, Scarlet, Joel Jr.; her brother, Kenny (Carolyn) Hagen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald and Agnes Hagen; her husband, Melvin Schwartz; her brother, Delbert Hagen; her sisters, Alice White, Lila Iverson, Janet Hagen.
Service Date September 14, 2021
Funeral services will be held privately for Carol.
