Born on November 17, 1942 in Kenosha, he was the son of Clarence and Nina (Beckman) Ostergaard. He attended local schools and graduated from Bradford High School in 1960. He was united in marriage to Lydia Villasenor in Las Vegas, Nevada. They shared 21 wonderful years of marriage together.
Denny proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1960-1963 and in the U.S. Navy Reserves from 1963-1966. Over many years, he worked as an Assistant Manager for International Harvester, retiring in 2008. After retirement, he spent 8 years as a Semi-Truck Driver for Ostergaard Trucking and American Igloo.
He enjoyed deer and bow hunting, fishing, the outdoors, vacations in Northern WI, the Packers, Nascar, working on cars, fixing them in his garage, and racing modified cars at Wilmot. Family time was very important to him and he loved large family reunions, barbeques, spending holidays together-especially Thanksgiving, and was a generous donor to Veteran causes. Anyone that knew him knew that he was one hell of a guy.
