Born on July 17, 1935 in Kenosha, he was the son of the late George and Irene (Burr) Collins. He attended local schools and was a graduate from Mary D. Bradford High School.
Bruce honorably served in the U.S. Army for two years.
After his military service, he was employed and retired as an inspector with AMC/Chrysler Corporation.
He was a longtime member of the former St. George Catholic Church. Bruce spent his final years living in the St. Paul, MN area He will be remembered for his hearty laugh and his generous nature. He loved sports and in his younger years, he was an avid basketball player.
He is survived by his four children, Sandy Collins, Vickie (Jr.) Baldwin, Linda Collins, and Michael (Sue) Collins; his brother, George Collins; his sister, Mary Ann Niemi; his four grandchildren, Audrey, Allison, Kate, and Brooke; and nine great grandchildren.

Service Date November 10, 2014
A Memorial Service in celebration of Bruce’s life will be held on Monday, November 10, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Avenue. Inurnment will follow in St. George Cemetery.
