Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintBilly H. Cameron, age 89, of Kenosha, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at Aurora Medical Center.
Born in Mounds, Mississippi on December 14, 1926, he was the son of the late Hugh and Hazle (Wheeler) Cameron.
On September 3, 1944, he was united in marriage to Mary Elizabeth Pittman in Roseville, Georgia. They were blessed with three children and 63 years of marriage before she preceded him in death on March 16, 2007.
Billy honorably served our country in the Merchant Marines aboard The Liberty Ship during WWII.
For over 30 years, he was employed as an iron worker with Bane Nelson.
He was a founding member of Parkside Baptist Church and was currently serving as a deacon emeritus. He was a talented wood worker and mechanically inclined; rebuilding his 1953 Nash. Billy was generous and loved helping others.
He will be deeply missed by his two sons, Cecil (Ann) and Joe (Dorothy) Cameron; a sister, Ruby Armbruster; 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Lyda Moser and his aunt, Billie Barnes.
Service Date June 27, 2016
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 27, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Parkside Baptist Church, 2620 -14th Place. Interment will follow in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
