Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintSurrounded by her loving family, Betty Rose Whitefoot age 78 of Kenosha, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at United Hospital System – St. Catherine’s Campus.
Born in Kenosha on May 5, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Cyril and Emma (Oechler) Smith. She attended local schools and was a graduate of Kenosha High School.
On July 24, 1954 at Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church, she was united in marriage to Charles Whitefoot. Sadly, after 40 years of marriage, he preceded her in death in 1995.
Betty was an active and faithful member of Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was a member of Mt. Zion’s Altar Guild, was a girl pioneer leader and vacation bible school teacher.
She enjoyed spending time in the beautiful tranquility of the north woods, gardening; especially flowers, cooking, baking, and she was the happiest in the company of her beautiful family.
Betty will be remembered by her children, Robert (Michelle), David, Ronald (Lucinda) Whitefoot, Kathryn (Timothy) Knautz and Karen (Jeffery) Reed; her brother, Donald (Carol) Smith of Eagle River, WI; her grandchildren, Keith (Tracy) and Brian (Maggie) Whitefoot, Jessica (James) Carreon, Kristina Whitefoot, Amanda (Scott) Bergemann, Jerad Whitefoot, Noah, Adam and Annya Knautz; and Ben and Sarah Reed; and her great grandchildren, Eric, Zach, Caleb, Jade and Jacy.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Timothy Hubbard and staff, the staff of ICU department at St. Catherine’s Hospital, and her son, David Whitefoot for the exceptional care and love they provided to Betty.
Service Date April 7, 2015
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5927 37th Avenue, with Reverend Steven Neumann and Reverend Scott Bergemann officiating. Interment will follow in Green Ridge Cemetery.
