Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintBetty Jane Dyutka, age 89, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at Brookside Care Center, surrounded by her loving family.
A lifelong resident of Kenosha, she was born on December 20, 1927, and was the daughter of the late Michael A. and Mabel (Robinson) Padula. She attended local schools and was a 1946 graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School. Following graduation, she worked as both a telephone operator and as a floral assistant at Turner Florist.
On June 2, 1951, she was united in Marriage to Roman C. Dyutka at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on November 9, 1991.
Betty was a dedicated homemaker, raising six children and spent many years assisting her husband in his upholstery business. She was a very loving mother and grandmother and her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
She will be deeply missed by her five children, Michael G. (Sherry), Robert A., James R. Dyutka, Joyce R. (Robert) Riedl and Mary B. (Chadd) Chatterton; 11 grandchildren, Renee (Ryan) Wojtkiewicz, Kimberly (Craig) Wesley, Thomas (Kristin Gretschmann) Dyutka, Jared Chatterton, Tyler Chatterton, John Banks, Shayne Wehausen, Denice (Niklas Gyllo) Wehausen, Jason (Stacy) Wehausen, Paul (Angeline) Lawson and Ryan (Jessica) Lawson; 8 great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Mary Ann, in infancy and Lynell Schrei; two brothers, Charles and Roccie Padula; two sisters, Lucille Blaine and Isabelle Bollow; a son-in-law, Robert Schrei and a daughter-in-law, Carol Dyutka.
Betty’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Brookside Care Center for their wonderful care and compassion.
Service Date June 12, 2017
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 12, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Ave., Kenosha, WI. Interment will follow in St. James Cemetery.
