Born in Chicago on June 15, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Swiszcz) Wojtonik.
On July 6, 1946 at St. Peter & Paul Church, Chicago, she was united in marriage to John G. Sommerfield. They moved to Kenosha from Chicago in 1992. Sadly, after 51 years of marriage, John preceded her in death.

She is survived by her three children, Janice (Michael) Schwager, Jeffrey (Karen) Sommerfield and Marcia (Gary) Altstadt; her grandsons, Steven (Kate) and Glenn Altstadt and many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire staff of Brookdale Assisted Living for the exceptional care they provided.
