Born on July 23, 1950, he was the son of Sam Witz and Rose Busch. Barry was a graduate from Main West
High School and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Triton College.
He was employed as a mechanic for Pace, RC Truck Services, Inc and First Student, until his retirement in 2020.
Barry lived in the Lake County Illinois area and then moved to Kenosha five years ago. He was a member of the Automotive Union and Brothers Raising . Barry was a free spirit and lived his life to the fullest. He was a motorcycle enthusiast who enjoyed his free time riding endless miles on the road. He loved camping, hiking and had a special place in his heart for animals.
Barry will be dearly missed by his children, Robert Witz (Alyse Leasure) and Charles Witz (Megan Funk); his grandchildren, Emily, Hallie, Sonja, Colin, Anthony, Avery and Renee; and his sister, Patricia (The late Robert) Eckert.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam Witz and Rose Busch; his siblings, Barbara Zissman, Sherry Witz and Richard Clark.
Memorial services honoring Barry’s life will be held at a later date.
