Born on September 1, 1953, in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, to the late Warren and Ida (Peyer) Potter. Barbara was a graduate of Elkhorn Area High School and earned her bachelor’s degree from Ripon College. She brought joy and warmth to everyone around her.
On May 25, 1975, she was united in marriage to Oliver Davidson.
Barbara was a proud veteran who served in the United States Navy from October 27, 1978, until her discharge on January 31, 1989, achieving the rank of Lieutenant. Her dedication and commitment to her country were just the beginning of her remarkable journey. She served as a commander of DAV Chapter 20, past president of the VFW Auxiliary in Winthrop Harbor, member of NAVY Club Ship 40 in Kenosha, American Legion Post 865 in Zion and a member of the Daughter’s of the American Revolution.
After her military service, Barbara had a successful career as an accountant, most recently working at Bristol Oaks. Barbara also owned and operated Plato’s Closet in Pleasant Prairie with her daughters.
Barbara leaves behind her loving husband, Oliver Davidson; her daughters, Brittany Davidson Lee and Amanda (Larry) Cabrera; her grandchildren, Christobal, Carson, Crystal, Parker, Macy and Oliver and her brother, George (Karen) Potter. Her family was the centerpiece of her life, and she devoted herself entirely to them bringing them joy with her fun personality and sense of humor.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Ida Potter.
Barbara’s spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

SERVICE LOCATION Piasecki Funeral Home
Memorial services honoring Barbara’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at the Piasecki Funeral Home, 3720 39th Ave, Kenosha, WI.
Inurnment with full military honors will be held at a later date.
A gathering of relatives and friends will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
