Born on May 11, 1927 in Kenosha, he was the son of the late Paul and Frances (Trotz) George. He grew up attending local schools and was a graduate of Bradford High School.
From 1945 – 1947, Arnie proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.
On November 6, 1948, he was united in marriage to Lois Canfield in Kenosha. Their union was blessed with 74 years of marriage and 6 children.
For the last 22 years of his career, Arnie worked for the State of Wisconsin at the Department of Motor Vehicles as a Supervisor and Drivers License Examiner. Before that he worked at American Motors and Home Juice.
Arnie was an avid local softball player for several teams including Cliff’s Club and 1st Assembly of God. He enjoyed gardening and mechanics; he could fix almost anything.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lois George; his children, Larry (Linda) George, A. Scott (Brenda) George, David (Sandra) George, Paulette (Ronald) Bergstrom, Debra Westfall, and Shelley (Greg) Peterson; his 17 grandchildren; his 34 great-grandchildren; his 2 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Arnold was preceded in death by his brothers, Ernest, Richard, Walter, Herbert and Bill George; his sister, Elsie Dysart.

SERVICE LOCATION Piasecki Funeral Home
Funeral services with full military honors honoring Arnold’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 17, 2023 at the Piasecki Funeral Home, 3720 39th Ave, Kenosha, WI.
The service may be viewed via livestream on the following link facebook.com/PiaseckiFuneralHome/live/.
Interment will be held privately.
A visitation for Arnold will be held on Friday, February 17, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
