Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintArlene F. Prybylski, age 87, died peacefully on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Crossroads Care Center of Kenosha from complications of PAD.
Arlene was born in Kenosha on August 4, 1930, she was the daughter of the late August and Marie (Bose) Jahnke. She attended St. James Catholic School and Mary D. Bradford High School.
On November 1, 1948 in St. James Catholic Church, she was united in marriage to Anthony F. Prybylski. He preceded her in death on March 18, 2006.
She was a member of Our Lady of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan. As a young girl she enjoyed roller skating. She bowled for many years on league teams and enjoyed playing cards and dominoes. By far however, her family was her life and she always enjoyed the times that they shared together.
Survivors include her six daughters, Christine (Robert) Hall, Janice (Mark) Mico, Gail Tielmann, Jill (Ted) Olbrys, and Sally (Charles) Gierl; her seven grandchildren, Joseph (Tissa) Hall, Kristi (Peter) Ladvienka, Dan (Lisa) Mico, Dr. Samantha (Dr. Eric) Ruiz, Cory Olbrys, Matthew Gierl and Paul Gierl, her four great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
Arlene shared a special friendship with Julie Fraid and Mabel Hoey.
Along with her parents, Arlene was preceded in death by a daughter Patricia Bufton, a son Jack in infancy, her son in law Horst Tielmann, four brothers, Charles, Alfred, Alvin, and Robert Jahnke, and her sister Marita Schneider.
The Prybylski family would like to thank the caring staff at Crossroads and Hospice Alliance for all their care and compassion.
Service Date February 26, 2018
Funeral services honoring Arlene’s life will be held on Monday, February 26, 2018 beginning with a prayer service at 9:15 a.m. at the Piasecki Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Avenue. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 2224 45th Street. Interment will follow in St. James Cemetery.
