Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintArchie John Foreman, age 91 of Sturtevant, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2017, of natural causes, while in the care of his loving family.
He was born in Kenosha on July 22, 1926, he son of the late Archie Elmer and Violet Flossie (Smith) Foreman.
Archie graduated from Kenosha Bradford High School.
During WWII, he served in the Merchant Marines and later the United States Army.
He met the love of his life, Mary Elizabeth “Maybeth” Vick, while both worked at the First National Bank of Kenosha and later married. They enjoyed 67 years together, holding hands every night as they fell asleep. Together they raised five children, Gail (Kerry Spitzer) Foreman, Lawrence (Sandi Foth) Foreman, Sandra (Peter) Vohs, Jill (Robert) Reuter, and Douglas (Pamela Giese) Foreman.
Arch is survived by his wife, children, his niece, Lynette (Don) Van Beckum; his sisters-in-law, Shirley Gengembre, Audrey Martell, and Maureen Madison; and many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were special to him and he was to them.
In addition to his parents, Arch was preceded in death by his sister, Geraldine Kersten; his nephew, Randall Kersten; sister-in-law, Kathy Willems; and his brothers-in-law, Ray Gengembre, Don Martell, Joel Madison and Calvin Kersten.
Being a man of unquestionable character, intelligence, humility, thoughtfulness and compassion, Arch’s opinion was frequently sought and always valued. Although his presence will forever be missed, his spirit lives on in all those fortunate to have known him.
Service Date September 28, 2017
Funeral Services honoring Arch’s life will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 12:00 Noon at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Avenue. Interment will follow in St. George Cemetery.
