Born on January 27, 1936 in Odin, KS, he was the son of the late Rudolph and Mary (Grellinger) Weiser. He attended schools in Kansas and was a graduate of Odin High School.
On June 15, 1963, Tony was united in marriage to Mary Shipman at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church.
Tony proudly served our country as an MP in the U.S. Army from 1956 until 1958 while stationed in Germany.
Following his discharge from the military, he relocated to Kenosha and received his BA from Dominican College in Racine. He was employed with his brother at Surf Bowl for over 10 years until he began his employment with First National Bank/Bank One/Chase Bank, where he was the Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager, retiring in 2000. After his retirement, Tony was employed part-time with the Kenosha News.
Tony was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and Kenosha Rotary West, where he served as Treasurer for many years. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree Archbishop Messmer Assembly #1201. He was a talented cook and loved to can. He was a strategic shopper and loved socializing while he was out. Tony was an avid St. Louis Cardinal and Green Bay Packers fan, but his greatest joy was supporting his grandchildren through their numerous activities.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 52 years, Mary; their three children, John R. (Gina) Weiser, David A. (Kimberleigh) Weiser and Sharon R. (David) Long; two brothers, Lawrence Weiser, Al (Joan) Weiser; three sisters, Mary Ann (Joseph) Wasinger, Trudie (Maurice) Sturdy and Catherine Reif; and five grandchildren, Rebecca, Sean, Alison, Jacob and Elizabeth. Tony shared a special bond with Kathryn, Jeffrey and Megan Pirtle and was further survived by his sister-in-law, Jean Newport and several loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Bernard, Rudy, Clement, Herbert and Nicholas Weiser.
Tony’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Bandealy, Dr. Rashid, their staff and the staff at Aurora Hospital for their kind and compassionate care.
