Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintAnna Carlini, age 98, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, March 15, 2019 at St. Joseph Home and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Montemonaco Italy, Province of Ascoli Piceno on November 19, 1920; she was the daughter of the late Francesco and Margherita (Ciotti) Valeri.
On April 19, 1947, in Montemonaco, she was united in marriage to Giuseppe Carlini. In 1956, they immigrated to the US where they made Kenosha their home and raised two children. Sadly Giuseppe passed away on September 22, 1988.
Anna was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church active with the Ladies Society and a former member of the Alpine Club. She was a strong industrious, energetic, driven woman, who enjoyed gardening vegetables and flowers along with knitting and crocheting. She was a fantastic cook who was selfless and giving; it was a true joy serving her family. Anna was also a talented seamstress working for JC Penney and exclusive woman’s clothing stores in downtown Kenosha.
She is survived by her children, Filippo (Lucrezia) Carlini and Elisabetta “Lisa” (Brian) Skowronski; grandchildren, Andrea (Al) Carlini-Miller, Emily Carlini, David Skowronski and Daniel Skowronski and great granddaughter, Vivien Carlini-Miller.
In addition to her parents and husband, Giuseppe, she was preceded in death by her brother, Luigi (Rita) Valeri and sisters, Domenica (Uriano) Dominci and Luigia (Amadeo) Fratini.
The family would like to thank the staff of St. Joseph Home along with Hospice Alliance, Inc. for the loving care and compassion shown to Anna.
Service Date March 23, 2019
Funeral services honoring the life of Anna will begin with a 9:15 a.m. prayer service at Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Avenue, Kenosha, WI on Saturday, March 23, 2019. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 1919 54th Street. Entombment at All Saints Mausoleum will follow.
