Born in Kenosha on June 22, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Anton and Amelia (Kubelke) Blaziewske.
As a young woman, Aline had the opportunity to perform at the WLS National Barn Dance. She sang, played guitar, and even yodeled. She continued to entertain those around her throughout her life by yodeling.
On May 1, 1943 she married the love of her life, Charles Pofahl in Kenosha. After their marriage, they took over the family farm located off Hwy. C in Kenosha County. They dairy farmed until 1972 and then grew corn and soybeans until their retirement. They resided in Kenosha County until 2004, when they relocated to Muskego to be closer to family.
Aline was loving and passionate. She was always active on the farm and as a young mother, she packed up her children to deliver eggs to private homes and bakeries. Her favorite time on the farm was tending the new-born calves. To pass the time while driving tractor in the fields, she would search for interesting rocks and visualize images of animals in the passing clouds.
Although she was busy with the farm, Aline loved to bake, especially her delicious coffee cakes. Her children remember learning to sing and harmonize while the family was riding in the car. She cherished her collections of angels, bells, and rocks. Aline volunteered for the Bristol 4-H Club and was a former member of Wesley United Methodist Church, the Kenosha County Homemakers Club, and the Bristol Senior Citizens Group.
After her children were grown, she obtained a real estate brokers license. Once they retired, Charles and Aline would travel around the country, often taking bus trips. They enjoyed socializing and experiencing new adventures.
Aline will be remembered by her three children, Darrell (Darlene) Pofahl of Onalaska, Robert (Julie) Pofahl of Madison, and Bonnie (Richard) Barnhart of Hales Corners; her eight grandchildren, Amy (Victor) Pofahl Brody, Benjamin (Ellen Guettler) Pofahl, Nathan (Kristen) Pofahl, Jennifer (Jason) Pofahl Quint, Katherine Pofahl, Adam (Amanda) Barnhart, Kara (David) Vande Walle and Allison Barnhart; her eight great-grandchildren and her sister, Virginia Vandermoon.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters.
