Alfonso Martini, age 89, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully with his loving family at his side on Friday, June 26, 2015.
Born in Montalto Uffugo Consenza, Italy, on July 27, 1925, he was the son of the late Concetta (Marotta) Martini.
In Italy in 1953, he was united in marriage to Ida Marrelli. They were blessed with two sons and made Kenosha their home on December 23, 1977, coming from Argentina.
He was employed in maintenance with MacWhyte; retiring after 10 years of service.
Alfonso enjoyed hunting and gardening. He was a very likeable and caring man who cherished his family.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 62 years, Ida; his son, Aldo (Laura) Martini and his six grandchildren, Pablo, Sergio, Gabriela, Carlos, Sabrina and Jessica.
Along with his mother, Alfonso was preceded in death by a son, Carlos on July 19, 2010 and one sister.
Service Date July 1, 2015
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 beginning with a prayer service at 10:15 a.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Ave., Kenosha, WI. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 2224 45th Street. Entombment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum.
