He was born in Russia on October 29, 1924.
In Germany in 1945, Alex was united in marriage to Lisa Fedchenko. They moved from France to Kenosha in 1956 making it their home. Sadly on December 7, 2013, after 68 years of marriage Lisa preceded him in death.
He was employed and retired from McWhyte Wire Rope Company.
Alex was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time fishing at his cottage in Iola.
He is survived by his daughter, Vera Shama; his grandchildren, Tania (Kelly) Farmer, Laura (Jon) Schultz and Andrew (Lisa Mary) Shamakov; and his great grandchildren, Zachary and Gregory Farmer; David and Nathan Schultz and Sigmund Shamakov.
In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Victor Shama on April 8, 2000.
Service Date June 13, 2015
Funeral Services for Alex will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church, 8635 W. Warnimont Ave., Milwaukee, WI. Interment will follow in St. Casimir Cemetery, Somers Township, Kenosha County.
