Alcinda was born on April 1, 1948 to the late Edward Earl Wyatt and Alcinda Ann Ridgeway.
She was introduced to Anthony Kordecki by their mutual friend Sherwin in 1968, and they were married at the Rockefeller Chapel at the University of Chicago, where Anthony was on staff.
They have 4 children Cassandra Kordecki (Michael Strong) of Lake Geneva, Christopher (Kristine) Kordecki of Bristol, Alcinda Kordecki (Eric Sutton) of Whaleyville, VA, and Rebecca Kordecki of California. Her grandchildren are Madison, Rachel, Lily, Wyatt, Neil, Glen and Dean.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her aunt Rachel Kitzmann, her nephew, Morgan Deters and her daughter, Christine Kordecki.
She graduated from Julia Richmond High School in New York in 1966, and was very proud of her certifications as a paramedic, her nursing degree in 1992, and continuing education and certifications in Advanced Oncology treatment protocols. She had a distinguished career as a nurse at, Cancer Treatment Centers and numerous hospitals in the area, and her passion for patient advocacy, patriotism and devotion to our country’s veterans led her to finish her distinguished career serving the veterans in their nursing home in Union Grove.
She was known for her resourceful and creative talents of knitting, sewing, her horsemanship, and caring and compassion for animals on the farm which formed special bonds with her exclusively, including horses that no one else could ride, and “Ruby” Racoon who would terrorize everyone else but her Cindy, whom she loved.
Service Date February 22, 2018
Funeral Services honoring Alcinda’s life will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2018. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1501 172nd Ave, Union Grove, WI. Relatives and friends are asked to meet at the church for the Mass. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
