Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintAlba Jean Cross, age 95, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at the Manor of Kenosha.
She was born in Kenosha on May 23, 1923, and was the oldest daughter of the late Stella and Louis Cross, Sr. Alba attended local schools.
Early in life, Alba was employed at Simmons Company. She later moved to California and worked at a newspaper in the classified ads department.
Later in life, being a devoted daughter, Alba moved to Florida to care for her elderly parents. After her parents passed away, she moved back to Kenosha to be closer to family.
She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Alba had a deep and abiding faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and she often spoke of Him; spreading His word to others.
Alba’s hobbies included reading, traveling and watching T.V. and game shows.
She is survived by her two sisters, Lydia Stellato and Esther Zahn, both of Kenosha; a brother, Louis (Debbie) Cross, Jr., of Tallahassee, Florida; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Alba’s caregivers at The Manor of Kenosha for the compassionate care they provided.
Service Date December 14, 2018
Funeral Services honoring Alba’s life will be held on Friday, December 14, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Avenue, Kenosha, WI, 53144. Private interment will take place at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
