Millie, a Certified Therapy Dog at Piasecki Funeral Home in Kenosha, Wisconsin, has embarked on a remarkable journey marked by extensive training, earning her four prestigious AKC titles. Known affectionately as Martin Clark’s Mildred, or K9 Millie, she stands as Kenosha’s first and only funeral home therapy dog. Her certifications include Certified Canine Good Citizen (CGC), Canine Good Citizen Advanced (CGCA), and Canine Good Citizen Urban (CGCU).
Millie’s role is to offer comfort, companionship, and unconditional love, especially to those in grief or stress. Her presence aims to bring solace and emotional support, and she is available for visits to healthcare facilities, schools, and community events. This initiative began with Piasecki Funeral Home’s Partner and Funeral Director, Matt Martin, reflecting his dedication to Millie’s training and his passion for sharing her therapeutic benefits.
Piasecki Funeral Home is proud to introduce Millie as a symbol of comfort, love, and healing in the community. They encourage people to follow Millie’s adventures and impact through their social media channels.
